The CIMS Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework provides members with opportunities to maintain, strengthen and demonstrate their continuing professional competence.

CIMS CPD Activities

Different activities may carry different CPD credit values according to their scope, duration and assessment requirements.

CPD Records

Members are encouraged to maintain appropriate records of completed professional-development activities.

Where CIMS issues CPD certificates or digital credentials, successful completion may be recorded within the member's professional-development history.

CPD and Good Standing

Continuing Professional Development supports the Institute's objective of ensuring that professional recognition represents current competence and continuing engagement, rather than achievement at a single point in a professional's career.

Please note: CIMS may establish minimum CPD requirements for particular membership grades or professional designations.
